Teenage pedestrian suffers 'life-changing injuries' after collision in Swinton

AN AUDI driver was arrested after a teenage pedestrian suffered life-changing injuries in a collision in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were called to Bridge Street, Swinton, at around 2.45am after a black Audi A4 collided with two pedestrians, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said.

"A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries," she added.

"An 18-year-old man suffered minor injuries. 

"The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released under investigation."
