Teenage biker (17) suffers "life-threatening" injuries in Wath park crash

A TEENAGE motorbike rider is in serious condition in hospital after an accident in Wath over the weekend

The 17-year-old girl suffered “ life-threatening” injuries after a crash on parkland near Bushfield Road, Wath, at 2.25pm on Saturday.

A police spokeswoman said: “It is reported the rider of a motorcycle lost control and collided with a metal bike prevention gate on parkland near to Bushfield Road in Wath..

“The rider, a 17-year-old girl, sustained injuries to her head and back in the collision, and is currently in a serious condition in hospital.”

Officers are asking anyone who has witnessed the collision to contact police and quote incident number 588 of September 1.
