"A 17-year-old boy from London was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis," added the spokeswoman.

"He has since been released under investigation."

Insp Sharron Wood from the Rotherham Central NPT said: "This was a fantastic result that showcases the ongoing efforts to keep illegal drugs off the streets of Rotherham.

"Warrants like this send a clear message to those suspected of being involved in the illicit drugs trade. We will continue to follow up on all reports of drug dealing and rely on the continued support of the public to provide information for us to act upon.

"Drug dealing is certainly not a victimless crime and we often see vulnerable people exploited for the gain of criminals."
