Tea towel left on hob causes kitchen fire in Edlington
A KITCHEN fire in Edlington was caused by a tea towel accidentally being left on a hob, fire officials say.
Crews from Edlington and Doncaster fire stations were called to a bungalow on Newbridge Grove at 3.20am this morning.
The fire was in the kitchen and had started accidentally due to a tea towel left on the hob, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
"The occupant went to hospital as a precaution," she added.
Firefighters had left the scene by 4.15am.
