Tea light sparked fire in Dinnington

A TEA light is believed to have sparked a house fire in Dinnington yesterday (Sunday).

Firefighters from Aston and Maltby stations were called to the house on Church Lane at 3.30am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a tea light in a bedroom, they added.

The occupants of the house were already out by the time firefighters arrived.

The crews left the scene at 5.10am.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to an accidental fire involving a motorised bicycle on Monkwood Road, Rawmarsh, at 11.20pm on Saturday, added the spokesperson.

The crew left the scene at 11.35am.
