Takeaway staff confront knifepoint robber in Dinnington

A ROBBER held up a takeaway with a knife — but left empty-handed after being challenged by staff.

It happened at Domino’s Pizza, on Laughton Road in Dinnington, at about 9.20pm yesterday (Tuesday).

A police spokesman said: “Officers are carrying our local enquiries as well as reviewing CCTV of the area.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 1017 of October 9.

The incident followed a ram-raid at Tesco in Dinnington on Sunday and a knifepoint robbery at the Salvation Army shop on Laughton Road on Monday.

Police said they were not being linked at this stage.
