Jamie Lee Green (22) was found guilty of driving without due care and attention at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court last week.

Court records describe how Green, of Rotherham Road in Maltby, was travelling on Bawtry Road, Wickersley on July 5 last year.

He drove his Volkswagen Bora “too close to the rear” of a taxi in front and “tried to bully the vehicle out of the way”, magistrates heard.

When this failed to quicken the cab driver, Green undertook the taxi before pulling in front of it, causing it to brake.

Green was fined £323, ordered to pay £32 to victim services and £300 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

His driving licence was also endorsed with three points.
