Expected to complete in spring next year, the properties will benefit from solar hot water systems as well as energy saving double glazing and wall insulation.  Two of the properties will also offer innovative solar photovoltaic roof panels, which convert sun-light into electrical energy and an exhaust air heat pump ventilation system, which uses otherwise wasted heat in the warm air areas of a home (bathrooms, kitchen, utility) and transfers that heat to hot water.

Commenting on the new development, Colin Harrop, Chairman of the Yorkshire and Humberside RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) board said: “The standard for energy efficient buildings gets higher and tougher to achieve each year as increased developments in technology allow for further improvements in energy measures. So we are pleased that this new development in South Yorkshire meets these stringent, high standards and is being offered to buyers in our region.
