Suspended sentence for Mexborough labourer who sexually assaulted woman

A LABOURER who returned to his former workplace following a night out and sexually assaulted a female staff member has escaped a jail term.

Adam Quinn (31), of Lower Dolcliffe Road, Mexborough, went to the premises at 3.15am and made lewd comments to the 20-year-old woman.

Quinn also touched the woman inappropriately during the attack, in October last year, which lasted for more than half-an-hour.

Quinn was given a six-month jail term, suspended for two years, at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday).

He was ordered to pay £500 compensation to his victim and to complete 40 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Quinn was ordered to stay at home between 9pm and 6am for two months and was banned from contacting his victim or visiting her place of work through a restraining order.
