Suspected drink-driver arrested after Dinnington crash

A CRASH in Dinnington tore the rear axle off a car — but its lucky passengers walked away with only cuts and bruises.

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a two-car collision tore the rear axle off a car.

The drivers walked away with only cuts and bruises after a Kia and a Toyota collided on Lodge Lane last night (Wednesday).

"The rear axle from the Kia was ripped off and landed in the bushes," said an officer.

The male Toyota driver was arrested for drink-driving and will appear before magistrates shortly, a police spokeswoman said.
