A host of prize pooches battled it out for dog show glory on Saturday and the Nature Safari stall proved popular with families.

Penny Lloyd-Rees, of Conisbrough Forward, said: “We had twice as many stalls and activities at the gala than in past years so the field was buzzing.

“Along with Tuby's funfair and The Bouncy Castle Man, the EPIC team brought along their zorb balls along for older children and Kingswood had a ‘drum jam’ session in the main arena.

“Swat Taekwondo gave a lively demonstration of their skills and Nature Safari brought some calm to the proceedings with their collection of both familiar and unusual animals to pet.”

Proceeds from the dog show, which saw the winners’ prizes provided by Ashworth’s Pet Supplies, will go to the Mayflower Animal Sanctuary in Bawtry.
