Storm Bronagh causes flash floods in Rotherham and leaves a car stranded
STORMY weather has caused flash flooding across Rotherham which left a motorist stranded and closed a council library service
Flooding was reported on Sheffield Road in Templeborough, under the M1 bridge, which left a woman stranded in her car yesterday. The woman was rescued by a passing tree surgeon.

Hide AdStorm Bronagh also caused flash floods and surface water flooding on roads across Rotherham. Catherine Oxley sent in footage (below) of flooding in Cliffefield View, Swinton, this morning.
Yesterday, Rotherham Borough Council also announced it was closing a public footpath in Rawmarsh close to Collier Brook, near Kilnhurst Road, due to unsafe trees and high winds. The footpath will be closed for three weeks, a council spokeswoman said.
Clifton Park Museum and cafe is open as normal but the archives and local studies search room is closed due to a leaking roof. It is hoped the archives room (which is usually open Wednesday to Saturday) will reopen on Wednesday, September 26.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service said there had been no major flooding incidents overnight.
Gusty winds and light rain showers are forecast for Rotherham today.
