Stopped motorist was four times legal limit

A MOTORIST breath-tested at the roadside was found to be almost four times the drink-drive limit.

The driver, who was stopped on Claypit Lane in Rawmarsh on Monday, gave a lowest breathalyser reading of 136 microgrammes per litre of breath. The legal limit is 35.

A police spokesman confirmed the man, from the Mexborough area, had been arrested for drink driving and bailed to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on February 6.
