Stolen van flees scene of crash in Dearne Valley

A white Fiat Ducato, which was reported to have been stolen, collided with a grey Vauxhall Elite at 9.01pm on Barnsley Road yesterday, a police spokeswoman said.

A woman (39) was injured in the crash but did not need an ambulance, she added.

The van fled the scene but was later recovered by police.

The occupants remained at large. 

Firefighters from Adwick station were at the scene until 10.30pm, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 897 of December 18.
