Still no verdict in trial of man accused of raping teenage girl

The jury in the trial of a man accused of raping a teenage girl has been sent home for the night again without reaching a verdict.

Jurors have spent the day deliberating in the case of Asghar Bostan (47) but have yet to agree on a verdict.

They will resume their deliberations at Sheffield Crown Court tomorrow morning.

Bostan (pictured), of East Bawtry Road in Whiston, faces two counts of rape at a town centre flat in 2002 or 2003.

Bostan denies ever knowing the complainant or ever having sex with a school girl.

He denies two counts of rape.
