A STALKER who blackmailed his ex-girlfriend has had his jail term cut just days after he was sentenced due to an error.
Jay Frisby (29), of Elgitha Drive, Thurcroft, was sentenced to 40 months on Friday — but was back in court today (10) after the judge forgot to take his guilty plea into account.
His sentence was reduced by four months, giving him a total of three years in prison for stalking and blackmail.
Last week, Recorder Darren Preston said serial offender Frisby “presented a risk to any woman he forms a relationship with”.
He has 15 previous convictions for 23 offences, including eight previous convictions for harassment spanning a ten-year period in respect of four different partners.
South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for further information.
