The popular teacher died in July last year and the window will be unveiled at 6.30pm on July 16, at St Saviour's Church, Mortomley, where Sheila was a member of the congregation.

The Rev Edwin Mitchell, Vicar at St Saviour's, said: “The service will be a significant occasion for High Green as well as the Church, family and friends.”

The window was designed and made by Helen Whittaker of Barley Studios in York.

The theme is the tree of Life, with impressions of a family looking on the scene.
