Stag murder charge man in court

A MAN accused of murdering his long-term partner appeared at Sheffield Crown Court this week.

Gordon White (46), appeared at a preliminary hearing today charged with the murder of Cheryl Ann Martin (44).

Ms Martin died in the early hours of Sunday October 11 at the couple's home on Stag Lane in Broom.

A post mortem later found that she died from multiple stab wounds.

Police were made aware of an incident around 5.50am and attended the address to find she was already dead inside the property.

White was remanded in custody to appear for a plea and case management hearing on December 22.
