Staff attacked in attempted robbery on Far Lane

TWO staff members were assaulted during an attempted robbery on a post office.

Police attended the premises on Far Lane, East Dene, shortly after 6.45am today (Monday).

A force spokeswoman said: “It is reported that a man and a woman entered the premises and assaulted two members of staff, demanding they handover keys to a vehicle parked outside.

“The suspects then fled the scene on foot. Nothing is believed to have been taken. Enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved.”
