Sports boost for disabled kids

CHILDREN with disabilities will have the chance to get involved with sport today thanks to a new project.

The launch event for the Rotherham Active Ability, set to be held at Herringthorpe Athletics Stadium today from 10.30am to 2.30pm, promises a day of fun-filled sports for children with disabilities aged 14 and over to try.

Activities include athletics from Rotherham Harriers Athletics Club, rugby from Titans Community Foundation, cricket from the Sheffield United Cricket Club and football from the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust.
