Spook-tacular spectacle to raise cash for school
Claire Robinson has built the spook-tacular spectacle at her home on Winterhill Road, Kimberworth, using recycled materials.
She is collecting for staff and pupils at the Newman Additional Resource at Newman Special School, which caters for autistic children like her son Ryley Robinson (18).

She also created a sea out of netting, underlit with fairy lights which are switched on every evening.
Claire said she had put on displays inside her house for six years until the pandemic forced her to move them outside last year — a move which brought in a record £1,000.
Claire said: “I have been doing this since Ryley started going to the school.

“He has now sat his GCSEs and he is in his last year there.
“This is our way of saying thank you, and we are raising money so they can go out on day trips.”
Claire said she had heard of visitors coming from as far as Leeds to see the display, which will be taken down after Hallowe’en to make way for a cracker of a Christmas scene.
