Spate of vehicle fires across Rotherham

THREE CARS were torched by arsonists in locations across Rotherham over the weekend.

An Audi was deliberately set alight at 1.35am on Saturday morning on Holmes Lane, Holmes, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to the incident and left the scene at 2.15am.

A crew from the same station was called to a deliberate car fire on Ferrars Road, Tinsley, at 9.20pm on Saturday, said the spokesperson. The crew left at 10.10pm.

And on Sunday at 1.20am they were called to a Vauxhall Corsa which had been deliberately set on fire on Willow Garth, Rawmash. The crew left the scene at 1.55am.
