South Yorkshire Police sergeant sacked over 'dishonest' conduct
Doncaster-based officer Sgt Christopher Simpson appeared before a misconduct hearing between February 4 and 6.
The panel considered allegations that on a number of occasions he had removed items from a police property store without any legitimate reason for doing so, and having been suspended from duty, he entered a police station without permission and misled other officers about the legitimacy of his presence.

The panel decided that on three occasions he had no proper policing purpose to remove some items from the property store.
It was also ruled he should not have entered the police station as it was contrary to the terms of his suspension.
He also deceived two officers into thinking he had a legitimate reason to be in the police station, the panel said.
