South Yorkshire Police promote autism alert cards
SOUTH Yorkshire Police promoted the force’s autism alert cards as part of last week’s Autism Awareness Week.
SYP worked with the National Autistic Society on the free, credit card-sized alerts, which launched across the region last March.
The idea is to give police and other emergency services workers information about people they deal with who are on the autism spectrum — and how best to communicate with them.
