South Yorkshire Police officer to stand trial over dangerous driving

A SOUTH Yorkshire Police officer is due to stand trial next week at crown court.

PC Daniel Guest (33), of Hesley Road, Harworth, Doncaster, has been charged with driving dangerously on Shepcote Lane, Sheffield, on November 2, 2017.

Guest, who is based at Rotherham’s Main Street police station, pleaded not guilty to the offence at Leeds Magistrates’ Court in September last year.

He is due to stand trial at Leeds Crown Court on Monday, March 11.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “The charge relates to a reported collision in November 2017 in Sheffield.”
