South Yorkshire police honour attack hero
Sarad (27), of Eastwood, Rotherham, was pulling into the drive of his home when he saw the police offcer being attacked by a man, who had originally been reported hitting himself in the head with a bottle.
Sarad, who has been presented with a certificate of commendation by the police, helped restrain the man before other officers arrived.

Hide AdHe said: “I don't really think of my actions as being out of the ordinary as, for me, it was simply my instinct to do what I did.
Charles Perryman, chairman of South Yorkshire Police Authority, said: "Sarad is a fantastic ambassador for the local community and he is fully deserving of the commendation, having gone above and beyond to help a local police officer in trouble."
