South Yorkshire kids' bus fares rise

BUS passengers travelling with children have been hit with an inflation-busting rise.

BUS passengers travelling with children will be hit with an inflation-busting rise.

Child concessionary bus fares in South Yorkshire rose from 50p to 60p from this Sunday, April 1.

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) said that the rise was necessary in order to protect services following a cut in transport budgets.

A further 10p rise is due to come into effect in April 2013.
