Social worker struck off for misconduct

A SOCIAL worker who acted dishonestly and did not protect the rights of children has been struck off for misconduct.

Jeanette Russell was found guilty of a series of allegations regarding her behaviour while working for Rotherham Borough Council.

She was removed from the register by the General Social Care Council conduct committee following a hearing in London last week.

She has 28 days to appeal against the decision.
