'Smoking materials' start Thurnscoe house fire
SMOKING materials are thought to have started a house fire in Thurnscoe at the weekend.
Three crews from Adwick, Cudworth and Dearne stations attended Chesterton Road at around 5.10am on Saturday, when a kitchen was alight.
A fire service spokeswoman said the blaze is thought to have involved smoking materials and a bin.
Crews left the scene at around 6.10am — the fire was recorded as an accident.
