Smoke warning as fire crews tackle huge blaze at farm
A HUGE plume of smoke can be seen across large parts of Rotherham this morning as firefighters tackle a large blaze on a farm.
The fire at a farm on Lidget Lane, Bramley, involves 5,000 tonnes of wood chippings, according to South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
A spokesperson said: “There is a huge smoke plume so, if you live in the area, please shut your doors and windows to avoid it.
“Crews are working really hard to get this dealt with but, as you can see, there’s a huge smoke plume.
“If you live in the area, keep your windows and doors closed!”
