Smith family's Christmas lights spectacular returns to boost Bluebell Wood

A COUPLE whose annual Christmas lights display brought in more than £800 last year are hoping another spectacular selection will spark an even bigger total.

Hazel and Martin Smith have been lighting up their Rockingham Road bungalow in Swinton for a decade in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, and were amazed to double their takings last time out.

They brought out the light-up reindeer, sleigh and strings of fairy lights last week - with help from grandson Ryan Hobson - and are accepting donations for the hospice once again.
