Slight drop in Covid patients at Rotherham Hospital

COVID-19 positive patient numbers have dropped at Rotherham Hospital from 30 to 27 in the last week.

There have been four further deaths of patients who died after a positive Covid test in the last seven days at the hospital. 

As of this morning (Wednesday), there were no inpatients being treated with the virus in critical care. 

The total number of inpatients who have tested positive since Covid-19 began is now 4,929. 

More than 85 per cent of the population in Rotherham aged over 12 have had their first dose of the vaccine, 81.7 per cent have had their second and more than 65 per cent have received a booster jab.
