Singer Abigail aims to be a Teen star

TEENAGE singer Abigail McEwan has her sights on stardom after reaching the final of a national contest.

Abigail (16) is through to the grand final of the Teen Star competition after getting through auditions in Leeds, the regional final and area final in Dewsbury.

She is now preparing for the grand final in London on Saturday.

Mum Sandra McEwan said Abigail, who is from Rawmarsh, “has always loved to sing”.

The former Wath Comprehensive School student is a member of Cast Academy Limited in Wath, who Sandra said had really encouraged her during the competition.
