Silverware and jewellery stolen from Firbeck pensioner

SILVERWARE and jewellery including an Omega watch were taken in a daytime burglary at Firbeck.

The alarm was triggered at an address on New Road at 11.30am on October 15.

The 72-year-old occupant returned to find the place had been burgled.

Police said a man was seen in the area on a scooter with false plates a short time later.

A force spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard what happened.

“Did you witness the burglary? Did you see a man on a scooter in the area at the time? Do you know who may be responsible?

“If you have been offered the items pictured, or hold any information about the incident, please call 101, quoting incident 368 of October 15.”
