Shots fired at house in Tinsley

DAMAGE was caused to a home in Tinsley when shots were fired at the property last night.

Police were called to Ferrars Road at 7.45pm last night after reports that shots had been fired at a property, causing damage to a window.

No-one was injured in the incident, police said.

"A 45-year-old man, believed to be from the Rotherham area, has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences," added a police spokeswoman.

"Additional patrols have been deployed to the area today to provide reassurance as the investigation continues."

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may hold information about what happened.
