Sharp fall in Covid inpatient numbers but deaths rise at Rotherham Hospital

FIVE more people died at Rotherham Hospital after testing positive for Covid in the past week, while the number of inpatients with the virus has dropped sharply from 42 to 26.

As of this morning, there were no inpatients being treated with the virus in critical care.

The total number of inpatients who have tested positive at the hospital since Covid-19 is 5,301. 

So far, 85.4 per cent of the population in Rotherham aged over 12 have had their first dose of the vaccine, nearly 82 per cent have had their second and 65.7 per cent have received a booster jab.
