Seven men charged in connection with Danny Dix death

SEVEN men have appeared in court charged in connection with the death of 38-year-old Munsbrough dad Danny Dix.

Kyle Beech (26), of Landsbury Avenue, Maltby; Brock Playforth (25), of Ambleside Walk, North Anston, and Liam Green (22), of Rotherham Road, Maltby, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court today (Friday) charged with manslaughter and affray.

None of the men entered pleas and all three were released on conditional bail to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on September 13.

Corey Andrews (25), of Tickhill Road, Maltby; Sam Anscombe (28), of Walesby Lane, Ollerton, Nottinghamshire; Brady Stoner (23), of Nelson Road, Maltby, and Josh Simpson (24), of Everson Close, Maltby, appeared at the magistrates' court charged with affray.

    None of them entered pleas and all four were released on unconditional bail to appear at the same crown court hearing.

    Mr Dix was left critically injured following an alleged assault which took place in Bridgegate in Rotherham town centre on Saturday, March 9.

    He died in hospital on Saturday, March 16.
