Send Valentine love to the NHS

February 14 is usually associated with declarations of love, cards and flowers — but Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity hopes donors will show their affection and appreciation to hospital employees by sponsoring a virtual heart-shaped balloon via Visufund.

Martin Havenhand, chairman of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said the appeal was the perfect way for supporters to show staff that they care.

He added: “Sponsoring a heart-shaped balloon is easy and quick to do and will provide the little pick-me-up our staff may need to spur them on during such challenging times.

“The public have been with us every step of the way during the Coronavirus pandemic, which is truly humbling. We’re looking forward to seeing our virtual sky lit up with balloons and messages.”
