After two years of superb images, we’re once again launching the Rotherham Advertiser Views of Rotherham photography competition.

Last year’s winner was this fabulous action shot of fire breather Dr Diablo in Rotherham town centre, which was shot by snapper Rich Sayles.

If you think you can do better, why not put your best photos to the test as our judges pick their favourite?

Open-air art experts Gallery Town are on board again and will provide the winning entry with a place in the Gallery Town collection of artwork and photographs.

You can enter any picture taken in the Rotherham area. The subject can be a local landmark, a favourite portrait, a landscape, a live action shot like Rich’s or even a selfie.

Please send your entry as an email with photographs attached as jpegs to [email protected] with Photography Competition as the subject.

Up to three photos are allowed per entry (preferably submitted in separate emails to account for image size).

Please include your name in the image name.

Remember to include your full name, address and contact phone number.

Images may be used online and in the paper as competition entries, in the open-air Gallery Town exhibition and to promote the competition.

The closing date is Friday, December 1, and the winner and two runners-up will be notified within the following two weeks.

So dig out your best photos, your own personal view of Rotherham, and give it your best shot — public fame awaits!
