A SECOND man has appeared in court in connection with an armed robbery in South Anston.

Callum John Edwards (25), of Plantation Court, Dinnington, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday) charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm in connection with the incident at South Anston Post Office on Sunday.

Edwards did not enter a plea and was remanded into custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on November 14.

Tomas Marcin Taszewski (32), of Lordens Hill, Dinnington, appeared at the same court yesterday charged with robbery.

He entered no plea and was remanded into custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on November 13.

Two other men arrested on suspicion of robbery have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are still appealing for information about Sunday's robbery, which happened at 4.25pm.

It is believed that two suspects entered the premises before demanding money with what has been described as a handgun. They made off with a small amount of cash.
