Second adult involved in Rawmarsh School ski trip given coronavirus all-clear

BOTH adults from Rawmarsh Community School who were tested for the novel coronavirus last week have been given the all-clear.

Two people involved in the school’s recent skiing trip to Flogarida in north Italy had self-isolated after showing some mild cold-like symptoms.

They were both screened for the virus Covid-19, which originated in China and has since spread to countries around the world.

A spokesperson for Rawmarsh Community School said: “We are in regular contact with Public Health England and continue to follow their advice.

“Two adults involved in the recent visit to Folgarida did start to show some mild cold like symptoms last week.

“As a precaution, following advice, both stayed away from school. We are pleased to confirm that, following tests, both adults have been given the all clear.

“Whilst we must remain vigilant, it is vital that the whole school community maintains a business as usual approach and follows the expert advice.

“We are keeping parents updated at regular intervals.”
