Search for missing pensioner Barry Jones enters second week
Barry Jones

OFFICERS are continuing to search for missing pensioner Barry Jones who has not been seen for a week.

Mr Jones (77), of Aston, was last seen getting off a bus in Woodhouse Mill at around 1pm on Tuesday, February 28.

Police said officers believed he got on the X5 bus service in Aston at 11.05am on that day, towards Sheffield.

They then believe he boarded the 120 bus to Fulwood at 12.12pm.

CCTV footage taken in Sheffield Interchange (above) 50 minutes later shows Mr Jones getting on the X5 bus towards Dinnington.

Ten minutes after taking the X5, Mr Jones is believed to have got off at the Woodhouse Mill stop.

This is the last known sighting of Barry, and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Mr Jones was wearing blue jeans, a thermal vest and a green coat with a leather collar.

He is described as being around 5ft 8ins tall, of a slim build, with a shaved head.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 628 of February 28.
