Scrubland set alight in Maltby
FIRE crews from two stations were dispatched after arsonists targeted scrubland in Maltby.
Firefighters from Maltby and Aston Park were called to Blyth Road just before 3.45pm on Sunday afternoon.
The crews left the scene at around 5pm.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
Officers from the Rotherham South NPT also spotted the blaze, but discovered that the fire service had already been contacted.
