Scooter and car torched by vandals

A SCOOTER and a car were targeted by arsonists in two separate attacks within the space of an hour.

The scooter was well alight when a fire crew arrived to tackle the blaze in Kimberworth on Friday night (3), said a fire service spokeswoman.

The crew spent half an hour bringing the blaze on Pembroke Street under control after being called at 10.15pm.

A fire service spokeswoman said the fire was “deliberate”.

A Vauxhall Astra was then targeted on Denton Road, Kimberworth Park, at 11.35pm.
