School’s hampers bring Christmas cheer to hospital

STUDENTS gathered gifts and chocolate boxes to give Christmas cheer to hospital patients and hard-up families.

Children from all years at St Bernard’s Catholic High School presented selection boxes and presents to children and elderly patients at Rotherham Hospital and put together 30 hampers for families in need.

They also waited on pensioners who were invited to eat at the school.

Principal Siobhan Kent said: “They have worked tirelessly.

“It has been so fantastic to see the children putting their community first.”
