School will be an eyesore
WHAT an eyesore the new building at Wickersley School will be. It will be totally out of place in a residential area and will lower the tone.
Apparently it’s the idea of some jumped up architect who’s been let loose with a paint pallet. Why couldn’t a building similar to the F Block (to the left of the old school building) be built that would would be far more fitting? Then again Rotherham Borough Council seem to take pleasure out of pulling down buildings with character and charm like Doncaster Gate Hospital and then building eyesores like this.
I just hope and pray that this will not be an accident waiting to happen as passing motorists take their eyes off the road to stare at the monstrosity.
