School closed as 'essential' electricity works carried out
Shops at Listerdale Shopping Centre, just off Bawtry Road are closed

CHILDREN are enjoying an extra day off today (Wednesday) after their school was left without power due to “essential maintenance”.

Northern Powergrid said around 220 properties in Brecks, were affected by the outage, including Listerdale Primary School.

Sainsbury’s Local at Brecks and shops at Listerdale Shopping Centre are also closed.

A spokesman said supplies were switched off at around 9am and were due to be restored at around 4.30pm.
