Scene of Thurnscoe ATM smash-and-grab
THIS IS the scene of a smash-and-grab raid on a Thurnscoe cash point.
Ram-raiders used a digger to demolish the wall of a Post Office on Houghton Road, at around 2.30am today (Friday).
They fled the scene in a van and a Mercedes hatchback, taking the ATM and its contents.
Police closed the road until 10.30am, while forensics officers investigated.
They urge anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 79 of July 6.
