Russums boss humbled by catering industry award

A HOSPITALITY company boss spoke of her pride after lifting a prestigious national award.

Sally Russum (pictured) collected the Gilbert Lefèvre Cup on behalf of Northfield-based Russums at at a gourmet dinner hosted by the Association Culinaire Française North West (ACF NW) recently.

The prize recognises a company’s outstanding contribution to the catering profession and was presented to Russums to mark the support that the sixth generation family business has given the Association in its competition work with students.

Director Ms Russum said: “The Association Culinaire Française North West is an established and professional network that was founded 40 years ago and provides invaluable support to trainees and students in our industry. 

“It has been a privilege to work with the North West branch for many years to encourage learning and skills.

“We are proud and humbled to receive the award that honours Gilbert Lefèvre, who was the founding President of the ACF NW and a Michelin starred chef.”

ACF NW President, Sue Kenyon said: “We are delighted to award Sally Russum the Gilbert Lefèvre Trophy to recognise the amazing support Russums have given the ACF for our North West Commis of the Year Competitions over the years.”

Established in 1830, Russums supplies clothing and equipment to the hospitality industry.
