Runner puts best foot forward for homelessness charity Shiloh

FUN runner Colin Taylor went a step — or rather thousands of steps — further than most when he completed the Great North Run for homelessness charity Shiloh.

Colin, who volunteers at the charity, raised £600 with his half-marathon effort.

“This a fantastic charity that does so much good for those people in our community who are in desperate need,” he said.

“I am so pleased that I can contribute in a small way both as a volunteer and by raising funds for them.

“To raise £600 was more than I expected and I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me.”

Steve Wylie, manager of Shiloh, said: “We survive thanks to the support of our volunteers and we appreciate everything they do.

“We are also always on the lookout for more support. If you think you may be able to help, please get in touch.”
